Why Made Different
For many autistic people, people with disabilities and their families, festivals are places they simply can't go. The crowds, the noise, the lights, the waiting — the barriers add up. We think that's wrong.
Crowds
Packed spaces and long lines can be overwhelming. We design for room to breathe.
Noise
Volume can be painful. We plan quiet zones, headphones and calmer areas.
Sensory barriers
Lights, smells and chaos add up. We build in rest, predictability and support.
Built with the community, from the start
Made Different isn't a regular festival with an accessibility add-on. It's being shaped with input from autistic people, disability advocates, families and educators from the very beginning — so the experience works for the people it's meant for.
